Blood Drive

Thank you to everyone who helped out and to all the amazing donors. Below is the result of what a day at M-A can do. You ROCK Bears!!!!

We registered 75 people through the doors. There were 13 deferrals, and two double red cell donations, giving us 60 whole blood productive units, and four double red units for a total of 64 productive units. Out of the 75 through the door, we welcomed 57 first time donors!

Since each whole blood donation is separated into three components, the 60 whole blood productive units impacted the lives of approximately 180 patients, plus the four from the double reds, for a total of 184 lives impacted by the lifesaving donations collected at Menlo-Atherton High School. Please share this information with the school and use it to help motivate donors for next year. 

For a little comparison, last year we registered 72 people and collected 55 productive units.
